--- Built to Last ---
The founder of Insane Fire Pits needed a backyard centerpiece to congregate around with friends and family. Not finding anything that resonated with his life, he set out to create a metal design worthy of his story. Partnering with a friend and designer, the first fire pit was cut from steel and welded together, providing a unique fire pit like no other. The panels included his family, waterskiing, ski racing, the Vermont State outline, and a clover for his Irish heritage One photo on social media, and the 2nd fire pit was commissioned the very next day.
Over the next few months, hundreds of designs were made, many of which can be found in our "Custom Panels" page above. The design ultimately changed to stainless steel for longevity. It also went from a welded pit to an easy-to-ship bolt together design. All with the same dimensions and character as the original.
Like a lot of things Made in Vermont, these fire pits are built to last. We use only 304 grade stainless steel for our panels and stainless steel nuts and bolts. There is a good chance your fire pit will last for decades.
Your custom made fire pits are crafted in a small New England town. Curated by local designers, personalized just for you, and handcrafted in Vermont.

Sure, our fire pits are not for everyone. Some people are quite happy buying a brand new, run of the mill, tin structure from the big box stores every year or two. But here in the Northeast, we'd rather buy it once. Vermont-Made stands for quality, craftsmanship, and longevity. Proudly Made in the USA, just the way it should be.
